Ecosystem Stability Assessment of Yancheng Coastal Wetlands, a World Natural Heritage Site

چکیده
By evaluating the stability of coastal wetland ecosystems, health conditions regional ecosystems can be revealed and sustainable development wetlands promoted. Coastal have been scarcely involved in present ecosystem evaluation studies, these being performed with relatively simple data sources. Therefore, this research, a comprehensive representative index system was constructed by using pressure-state-response model multi-source datasets from perspectives internal external environmental changes Yancheng wetlands, Jiangsu, China. The analysis results indicated that: (1) at an early warning stage, all segments except Binhai segment (relatively stable) were state. (2) In criterion layer, Dafeng District whole faced highest pressure, followed Dongtai, Xiangshui segments, successively. Sheyang reached state level, Binhai, succession. (3) factor high resource socioeconomic double pressures, poor water quality low pressure; favorable soil, biological landscape states; positive response to protection. Various factors varied county county. (4) significantly influenced invasion alien species, change rate natural area (D32), artificial area, increment aquafarm intensity fertilizer application coverage dominant vegetations. novel significance research lies enriching global investigations providing typical case study.

Evaluation of the Impacts of Marine Salts and Asian Dust on the Forested Yakushima Island Ecosystem, a World Natural Heritage Site in Japan
To elucidate the influence of airborne materials on the ecosystem of Japan's Yakushima Island, we determined the elemental compositions and Sr and Nd isotope ratios in streamwater, soils, vegetation, and rocks. Streamwater had high Na and Cl contents, low Ca and HCO(3) contents, and Na/Cl and Mg/Cl ratios close to those of seawater, but it had low pH (5.4 to 7.1), a higher Ca/Cl ratio than seaw...
متن کاملInterpretation reduces ecological impacts of visitors to world heritage site.
Minimal-impact interpretation is widely used to reduce the ecological impacts of visitors to protected areas. We tested whether verbal appeals and/or role-model demonstrations of minimal-impact behavior by a trained guide reduced noise, litter, and trampling impacts on hiking trails in a subtropical rainforest. Interpretation did reduce impacts significantly. Different interpretive techniques w...
متن کاملAssessing Landscape Ecological Risk for a World Natural Heritage Site: a Case Study of Bayanbulak in China
Wetland protection, floral and faunal resource management, and habitat migration are all concerns for the ecological risk of wetland landscapes. Indices of landscape-scale ecological risks have the potential to influence changes in landscape patterns, the conditions of endangered plants and animals, and influences from nature and humans. Semi-variation function and gravity center models were us...
